Biography
Mike began his musical work before he finished school. Then he participated in the group False Alarm, but in 1983 this group broke up. In the same year, Mike meets Eric Melvin and Eric Sandin, who organize the new NOFX group. After some time, this group becomes popular, even despite the fact that the group basically does not appear on MTV and does not use producers. Along with this, Mike forms one of the largest independent labels in America under the name Fat Wreck Chords, which produced many famous bands, including Rise Against . Also, Mike was the organizer of the tour under the provocative title “Rock Against Bush tour”, (“Rock Against Bush”). The purpose of this tour was to find talented young musicians, as well as expel George W. Bush from the presidency of the United States. Mike divorced his wife Erin, with whom he lived for 17 years. [2] They have a daughter, Darla.
Fat Mike got his nickname after getting fat in college. Now Mike is not fat at all, but the nickname has taken root so much that Mike does not want to change him. [3]
