Origin and family
Representative of the Princes Mikulinsky , the youngest branch of the Rurikovich branch that ruled in Tver . The eldest of the three sons of Boris Alexandrovich , the last specific prince of Mikulinsky . After the accession of the Tver principality to Moscow in 1485, his father switched to the service of Ivan III, having received the nobility and Dmitrov as an estate. Vladimir Andreevich and his brothers:

were in the service of the Moscow princes. Vladimir Andreevich had no children.
Service at Ivan III
In 1489 he commanded a regiment of the right hand during the campaign on Vyatka .
During the Russo-Lithuanian war of 1487-1494. in 1492, as part of a large regiment under the command of D. D. Kholmsky, he participated in a campaign to Novgorod-Seversky . In 1494 he drove a regiment of the left hand from Tver to Lithuania .
In 1495 he participated in the campaign of Ivan III to Novgorod , as a Tver boyar.
During the Russian-Lithuanian war of 1500-1503. in 1500 he led the regiment of the left hand on a campaign to Rostislavl and took part in the battle of Vedroshi .
In 1501-1502 participated in campaigns on the Livonian Order .
Service at Vasily III
During the Russo-Kazan war of 1505-1507. took part in an unsuccessful campaign against Kazan in 1506 as part of a ship rati, as the second governor of the regiment of the right hand.
In 1508, as the third governor of a large regiment, he took part in a campaign against Lithuania.
He died in 1509.
