Tkachenko, Alexander Vladislavovich

Aleksandr Vladislavovich Tkachenko ( Ukrainian: Olexander Vladislavovich Tkachenko ; born January 22, 1966 , Kiev , Ukrainian SSR , USSR ) - Ukrainian media manager [1] , producer , journalist , TV presenter . Education

In 1990 he graduated from the Journalism Department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv .

In 2016, he received a Harvard Business School diploma in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports program.

In 2018, he completed his studies at INSEAD Business School in Singapore under the “Value Creation for Owners and Directors” program.

Media Management

In 1994 - 1999 - President of the television company (production studio) “ Nova Mova ”, which produced the television programs “Afterword” and “Faces of the World” for the channels “ UT-1 ” and “ Inter ”.

In December 1996, together with the entire Afterword team, he transferred to the new television and radio company Studio 1 + 1 . The Television News Service ( TSN ), created by Tkachenko, was aired on January 1, 1997 with presenter Alla Mazur . At the same time, “Afterword” continued to appear on “ 1 + 1 ”, and Tkachenko also became deputy general producer of the channel.

In December 1997 left the “ 1 + 1 ”.

In April 1999, he headed the channel " New Channel " , where he came on order of the then owner of the Russian Alfa Bank. Alexander reformatted and made the Reporter news program competitive, inviting several of the Afterword team to it: Andrey Shevchenko, Ivanna Naid , Igor Kulyas. Under his leadership, already in 2000, the channel entered the top three market leaders.

From January 2000 to May 2001 , he was an adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko (volunteer). In 2003, he became the informal leader of the so-called Pinchuk holding (the Novy Channel , ICTV , and STB television channels). From March to May 2008, he worked in Moscow as Deputy General Director of REN-TV channel as part of a consultation agreement. He was engaged in programming content and broadcasting grids [4] .

From August 2008 to August 29, 2019 he held the position of General Director of the 1 + 1 media group, which includes the 1 + 1 , 2 + 2 , TET , PlusPlus, Curlers, and Unian TV channels TV ”, “ 1 + 1 International ” and Ukraine Today , sales house Pluses and a television production company 1 + 1 production [5] .

In April 2014, against the backdrop of the annexation of Crimea to Russia and the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, he called on Ukrainian television channels to abandon the broadcast of Russian TV shows about security officials. Subsequently, he supported the bill banning Russian films and TV shows propagandizing its armed and law enforcement forces [5] .

On November 1, 2018, Russian sanctions were imposed against 322 citizens of Ukraine, including Alexander Tkachenko [6] .

Production Activities

He acted as a producer of the movie "Song of Songs", " House with a Turret ", " Vysotsky. Thank you for being alive , " At the River ."

In addition, he was the producer of many popular television series, including “ Milkmaid from Khatsapetovka ”, “ Tomorrow will be tomorrow ”, “ Hope as a confirmation of life ”, “ Sky with polka dots ” and many others.

Journalism

During the presidential election of 2004, he led a television debate between Viktor Yushchenko and Viktor Yanukovych .

Participation in the reform of the media market

Since 2005, together with ex-colleague Andriy Shevchenko, he became one of the initiators of the creation of Public Television and Radio Broadcasting in Ukraine and one of the authors of the concept of Ukrainian Public Television (Public Broadcasting).

As one of the most influential CEOs of the Ukrainian media sector, Alexander is actively involved in reforming the industry. Under his leadership, the media holding “1 + 1 Media” always has a proactive position regarding events and changes that relate to the media industry. Also, Alexander, one of the first CEOs in the media industry, took a focus on the activities of the group as a socially responsible business. In particular, in 2017, 1 + 1 Media presented the first corporate social responsibility report among media companies. [9]

In November 2018, 1 + 1 Media, together with the Norwegian-American team, shot the pilot of the first international series Jonathan Fort. Filming was carried out by the Norwegian company Evil Doghouse Production together with the Ukrainian "1 + 1 Production". [ten]

In the early parliamentary elections of 2019 he took 9th place in the preliminary list of the party " Servant of the people " [11] . He oversaw the work of the Kiev majority from "Servants of the People [12] ".

Personal life
