Biography is an applied interdisciplinary science that integrally includes the solution of problems related to the historiographic , source study, theoretical and methodological aspects of the study and formation of biographies of personalities, both historically, politically, pedagogically, epistemologically and socially significant, and performing a secondary, supporting role in the context of the works of the named affiliation .
Biographical studies imply a close interconnection of different fundamental and highly specialized areas of history as such, literary studies, encyclopedic and bibliographic traditions, genealogy, science of science and other related and independent humanitarian and natural sciences, - work with a variety of materials from state and private archives, studying memoirs, chronicles and so on. Currently, a significant influence on the development of biography is the improvement of the use of systems engineering, network resources, databases, source processing tools, which functionally simplifies and accelerates the work, meaningfully enriches the possibilities of processing and broadcasting information.
