Biography
Friedrich Albrecht is the eldest son of Prince Victor II Friedrich of Anhalt-Bernburg and his second wife Albertina of Brandenburg-Sweden , daughter of Margrave Albrecht of Friedrich of Brandenburg-Sweden .
Friedrich Albrecht inherited to Anhalt-Bernburg after the death of his father and moved his residence from Bernburg to Ballenstedt. There, by his decree, a small court theater in the classicist style was erected. Nationals considered Frederick Albrecht to be a less severe sovereign than his father. Prince Friedrich Albrecht gave the women of Anhalt-Bernburg the right to commit legally significant acts. In Bernburg, he allowed to establish a mortgage house. December 22, 1785 he signed documents on entry into the Princely Union . Friedrich Albrecht is the founder of the Anhalt Mineral Collection. The cause of the death of the prince remained unclear: an accident during a hunt or suicide .

Friedrich Albrecht married on June 4, 1763 in Bernburg , Louise Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plyonska , daughter of the Duke of Frederick Karl . They were born:
- Alexius (1767–1834), prince of Anhalt-Bernburg, married Princess Maria Frederick of Hesse-Kasselskaya (1768–1839), then to Dorothea von Sonnenberg, (1781–1818), then Ernestine von Sonnenberg (1789–1845)
- Paulina Cristina (1769-1820), married to Prince Leopold I Lippe-Detmoldsky
