History
It was founded in 1947 as the Kinoremsnab plant. Carried out the production and repair of equipment for filming, as well as engaged in the maintenance of film installations in the Chernihiv region . In the mid-1950s, the plant mastered the production of lighting, camera, sound recording and film projection vehicles on the GAZ-51 and ZIS-150 chassis. In the second half of the 1950s, the plant began producing buses of the PAZ-651 type with a wooden frame of a body of its own design. Both ordinary passenger buses and their cargo-passenger versions with incomplete glazing were produced. In 1959, the company was renamed the Kinotehprom plant. In 1962, specially commissioned by a children's puppet theater, factory wagons on the basis of the GAZ-51A truck designed and built a coach car with a wooden body, which determined the direction of the enterprise for many years. The plant began to specialize in the production of special buses and freight vans based on them for the needs of the Goskino of the USSR , referred to as ChPK (then - " Chernigov "). Also, by order of organizations, the plant produced Chernihiv buses in passenger performance. In addition, the plant did not stop producing special cinema vehicles on the chassis of serial trucks. In 1976 , the plant changed its name to “Chernigov Plant Ukrkinotechprom.” In 1978, the plant moved to new territory and increased production volumes: production of buses with a metal body was mastered, the range of special vehicles produced was expanded. In addition to buses and vans, the plant produces special minibuses. , GAZ-69 cars (later UAZ-469B ) with an all-metal body, LEK minibuses, game and special vehicles in single copies, trailers. Other ministries and departments , including the Ministry of Defense , the Ministry of Internal Affairs , and the KGB , are being created, and in connection with the expansion of the product range and the importance of products, the company was renamed the Chernigov Special Vehicles Plant (ChZSA) in 1989. During the crisis of the early 1990s The demand for the plant’s products fell, and the company switched to the production of motor vehicles, the demand for which continued to remain — minibuses for urban transportation, freight and passenger-and-freight vans, shift buses . But production volumes were very small, and the situation of the enterprise was difficult. After privatization in 1997 , the plant is controlled by the Kiev company Pozhkompleks CJSC and is engaged in the production of fire fighting equipment. There was an attempt to resume production of a new bus model, but this idea was abandoned. As of 2014, the plant does not produce automotive equipment, but only performs its overhaul. The main activity of the company was the production and repair of fire equipment.
