Tamme-Lauri Oak ( est. Tamme-Lauri tamm ) is the largest oak tree growing in Estonia . The oak tree grows on the land of the Tamme-Lauri farm of the same name, in the parish of Urvaste , Võru County .
The height of the tree from the surface of the earth is 17 meters, and the width of the trunk circumference is 8 meters. [1] . Age has about 7 centuries. According to studies, it was found that the tree began to grow in 1326 . [2] .
The Tamme-Lauri Oak was depicted on the back of a 10-kroon bill .
The tree was taken under protection as a conservation object of the republic on June 30, 1939 .
