History
On June 4, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI issued the bull Cum petitum esset , which established the Diocese of Gulbargi, separating it from the Archdiocese of Hyderabad (today the Archdiocese of Hyderabad ) and the Dioceses of Belgaum and Bellary .
