The Archdiocese of Kattak-Bhubanesvara ( Latin: Archidioecesis Cuttackensis-Bhubanesvarensis ) is the Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in Kottak , India . The dioceses of Balasor , Brahmapur , Rurkela , Sambalpur are included in the metropolis of Kattak-Bhubaneswar. The cathedral of the archdiocese of Kattak-Bhubaneswar is the church of the Holy Rosary .

History
On July 18, 1928, Pope Pius XI issued the Apostolatus officium log , which established the Sui iuris Kattaka mission, isolating it from the diocese of Visagapatama (today - the Archdiocese of Visakhapatnam ).
On June 1, 1937, Pope Pius XI issued bull Si catholicum nomen , which transformed the mission of sui iuris into a diocese. On the same day, the diocese of Kattak entered the Metropolitanate of Ranchi .
On January 24, 1974, Pope Paul VI issued the bull Quamvis munus , to which he transferred part of the territory of the Kattak diocese for the construction of a new diocese of Bemhampur . On the same day, the diocese of Kattak was elevated to the rank of archdiocese with the name "Kattak-Bhubaneswar."
