Design Description
The body of the rangefinder cameras "Elikon-1" and " Elikon " is plastic , with a folding rear wall. The cameras do not need a case, the shooting lens , the photoresistor lens and the viewfinder lens are closed with a sliding plastic cover when carrying them. In the transport position, the electronic circuit is de-energized. The cameras are equipped with a lanyard .
The Elikon and Elikon-1 cameras differ only in the design of the attached flash .
Elikon-1
An automatic flash unit of a special design βFE-29β with battery power is connected to the left side of the camera through the original mount. The principle of operation of flash automation is based on disconnecting a large- capacity electric capacitor from a xenon lamp . The shutdown occurs after the flash meter of the flash determines that the film is exposed sufficiently.
Elikon
The main difference from the Elikon-1 camera is that instead of an automatic flash of a special design, a bracket is attached that allows you to install a conventional electronic flash with a central sync contact .
Specifications
- The photo material used is a 35 mm type 135 perforated film in standard cartridges.
- Frame size - 24 Γ 36 mm.
- Lens " Minitar-2 " 2,8 / 35. Focusing on a conjugated rangefinder (0.55 x eyepiece enlargement, rangefinder base 19 mm.). The limits of focus are from 0.8 m to infinity.
- The rear focal length of the lens is reduced to 9 mm. Five-lens, multi-coated , three groups of lenses. Focusing is performed by moving the middle group, which also significantly reduces the size of the camera.
- Resolution - 46 lines / mm in the center of the frame, 32 lines / mm at the edges. The angle of view is 55 Β°.
- The lens aperture is from 2.8 to 16. The aperture is two-bladed.
- Combined shutter platoon and film rewind (head). The frame counter is self-resetting. Rewind film type roulette . Hidden lock on the back of the camera.
- Optical viewfinder , with highlighted frames for indicating frame borders and parallax compensation.
- Electronically controlled shutter . Exposure range from 10 - 1/500 sec. Shutter release and self - timer - electronic, with LED indication.
The principle of camera automation
- The cameraβs power source is two RC-53 mercury-zinc elements [1] . Equipped with an insert for installing two smaller in size SC-32 elements.
- Setting the photosensitivity of the film by the ring located on the front panel of the camera under the sliding cover. The range of photosensitivity of films is from 22 to 350 units. GOST.
- The cameras " Elikon " and "Elikon-1" are automatic machines with aperture priority . Exponometric device with cadmium sulfide (CdS) photoresistor . Exposure compensation is possible only by changing the photosensitivity value of the film.
- In automatic mode, the shutter works continuously from 10 seconds. up to 1/500 sec.
- In the field of view of the viewfinder are the LEDs for controlling the exposure device. The glow of the green LED means that the shutter works out the shutter speed for more than 1/30 sec, it is advisable to "open" the aperture . A red LED indicates that the shutter is shutter speed less than 1/500 sec, it is necessary to "cover" the aperture.
Elikon-2
In 1990 - 1992, BelOMO produced " Elikon-2 " - a scale modification of the Elikon camera with a Minar-2 lens of 3.8 / 35.
In a very small number released rangefinder " Elikon-2 ."
A total of 393 copies were produced. [2]
