X-Seed 4000 is one of the hypothetical projects of the tallest building in the world.
Its height should be 4,000 meters above sea level, and the number of floors - 800. Thanks to the base with a width of 5 to 6 km [1] [2], the structure can be placed directly above the sea. The X-Seed 4000 should accommodate between 700,000 and 1,000,000 inhabitants.
According to the hypothesis, the project was developed for the capital of Japan by the construction company Tasai Corporation as the building of the future, where ultramodern life and interaction with nature will be combined. Unlike ordinary skyscrapers, the X-Seed 4000 will protect its occupants from pressure drops and changing weather conditions throughout the entire height of the building. Its design provides for the use of solar energy to power the entire climate control system in the building.
One of the main problems of the project hypothesis is its location in the region of the Pacific Ring of Fire - the zone of the world's strongest volcanic activity, so the threat of earthquakes and tsunamis for the building is very high.
Elevators are designed for 200 passengers and delivered to the upper floor in 30 minutes [3] . In addition to thousands of apartments and offices, the X-Seed 4000 will also have entertainment centers, parks, and forests.
The estimated cost of building the X-Seed 4000 is 600-900 billion dollars in 2006 prices (585 billion - 1.05 trillion dollars for 2014 ).
The X-Seed 4000 plan is designed for 8 years of construction.
According to George Binder, managing director of a company compiling data on buildings around the world, the X-Seed 4000 “was never meant to [really] be built ... The purpose of the planning was to achieve some recognition of the company, and that was achieved.” [four]
The X-Seed 4000 project falls under the definition of archeology .
In 1966-1967, the chief designer of the Ostankino TV tower, N. V. Nikitin, together with V. I. Travush, commissioned by a Japanese company (owner Mitsushiba) developed a project of a steel mesh tower-shell 4 km (4000 meters) high similar to the X-Seed 4000 [5 ] .
The project was closed for an indefinite period.
