" Roseanne " ( born Roseanne ) is an American comedy television series starring Rosanna Barr , which aired on ABC from October 18, 1988 to May 21, 1997 [1] .

The series was the most successful television program and was at the top of the range from 1989 to 1990, and was also one of the four most popular shows for six out of nine seasons [2] [3] [4] .
In 2002, the sitcom Rosanna took 35th place on the list of Fifty Greatest TV Shows of All Time [5] .
The series received twenty-five nominations for the main Emmy television show during its show, including four victories. Rosanna Barr received an Emmy and Golden Globe in 1993, and Laurie Metcalfe made history by winning three consecutive Emmy Awards from 1993 to 1994. The series won the Golden Globe in 1993 in the category " Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical ." In 1992, the show received the prestigious Peabody Award.
In May 2017, it became known that ABC ordered the tenth season of the series (9 episodes) with the premiere of March 27, 2018 [6] , 30 years after the start of the original series. The main cast of the series has returned [7] . March 30, 2018 after the successful premiere of "Rosanna" was extended for the eleventh season of thirteen episodes [8] . However, on May 29, 2018, allegedly due to Barr's racist and Islamophobic comments on Twitter regarding Valerie Jarrett [9] [10] ABC closed the revived television series after one season [11] [12] [13] .
