Artashat district ( armenian Արտաշատի շրջան ) is an administrative-territorial unit of the Armenian SSR and Armenia , which existed in 1930-1995. Center - Artashat .

Content
History
The district was formed in 1930 under the name Kamarlinsky district . In 1945 it was renamed the Artashat district.
It was abolished in 1995 during the transition of Armenia to a new administrative-territorial division [1] .
Geography
On January 1, 1948, the territory of the district was 378 km².
Administrative Division
As of 1948, the district included 1 urban-type settlement (Artashat) and 22 village councils : Azatavansky, Aygestansky, Arevshatsky, Bashpalinsky, Verin-Artashatsky, Verin-Dvinsky, Verin-Novruzlinsky, Vostansky, Dalarsky, Dargalinsky, Dzharshensky, Zash, Zash Masisi, Morganushsky, Mkhchiansky, Nerkin-Dvinsky, Nerkin-Kamarlinsky, Norashensky, Sabunchinsky, Torpakhkalinsky, Chilakhanlinsky, Yuvinsky [2] .
