Shin-Otianomizu Station ( 新 御 茶 ノ 水 駅 Syni Okyanomizu ) is a railway station on the Chiyoda Line, located in a special area of Chiyoda , Tokyo . The station is designated C-12. It was opened on December 20, 1969. Above this station is the JR East Otoanomizu station , through which local and fast trains of the Chuo line pass. In the vicinity of the station is the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ . The Ogawamati stations of the Shinjuku line and the Awadjito line of the Marunouchi line are connected to the Shin-Otyanomizu station by underground passages. The station has an automatic platform gate and tactile coating .
