MLS Cup ( English MLS Cup ) - the trophy of the same name and the match for the championship of the MLS league, the highest football league of the USA and Canada. It is the final match of the play-off tournament for the MLS Cup, taking place after the end of the regular MLS championship. The winner becomes the champion of the current season MLS and gets a ticket to the CONCACAF Champions League [1] .

The first MLS Cup was played in 1996. Currently, the final match for the cup takes place in early December. In the match there are winners of the finals of the Eastern and Western MLS conferences. The winner is awarded the Trophy of Philip Anschutz , known until 2008 as the Trophy of Alan Rotenberg . [2]
The reigning champion of the 2018 MLS Cup is Atlanta United.
