Sima's methods ( Chinese trad. 司馬 法 , ex. 司马 法 , pinyin : Sīmă Fă ) is one of the seven classical military treatises of China , created in the 4th century BC. er in the kingdom of qi . It dates back to the military traditions of the Syma clan and is named after the commander of the Qi army, Sima Zhangjuj ( Chinese р 穰 苴 п , pinyin : Sīmǎ Rángjū ), a contemporary of the ruler Jing-gong .

Contents
The treatise deals with issues of army control, discipline , military organization. According to him, war is necessary to maintain power. At the same time, the main goal of the war is to destroy evil and help people. The treatise calls for mercy in relation to the civilian population of the enemy state and even to wounded enemies. Much attention is paid to professional and psychological training, as well as the manning of the army. The importance of administrative influence - punishments and incentives - to maintain discipline and motivation of troops is emphasized. The treatise also briefly discusses the issues of choosing the most effective tactics .
