Wagah is located on the old great wheel track between the cities of Amritsar and Lahore . The controversial line of Radcliffe in 1947 passed through Wagah. The part of the Indo-Pakistan border, located in Wagah, is often called the " Berlin Wall of Asia " [3] . Every evening there is a ceremony called “ flag-down ” [2] , the first of which was held in 1959 [4] . For the observance of order on the border are responsible border troops of India and Pakistani Rangers .

Line of control

The line of control - the demarcation line between India and Pakistan, drawn along the former principality of Jammu and Kashmir - legally unrecognized, but de facto, is the border. Originally called the “Line of Ceasefire”, but was renamed the “Line of Control” after the agreement in Simla , July 3, 1972 .
