Fedor Tikhonovich Antonov ( November 2 [15], 1915 - April 22, 1988 ) - Soviet officer , commander of the 6th Guards Separate Reconnaissance Company of the 3rd Guards Rifle Division of the 2nd Guards Army of the Southern Front , guard lieutenant during the Great Patriotic War [ 1] .

Biography
He was born on November 2 (15), 1915 in the village of Sloboda, now Trubchevsky District, Bryansk Region, into a peasant family. Russian Education is incomplete secondary, he worked on the farm . Since 1934 he lived in Moscow , worked as a plasterer.
In the Red Army since 1939. Member of the liberation campaign of Soviet troops in Western Ukraine and Western Belarus in 1939 , the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 . He graduated from the Leningrad Military Infantry School. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1943. Member of the Great Patriotic War since 1941.
The commander of the 6th Guards Separate Reconnaissance Company (3rd Guards Rifle Division, 2nd Guards Army, Southern Front) of the Guard, Second Lieutenant Fyodor Antonov, on September 23, 1943, crossed a group of scouts across the Molochnaya River north of the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhia Region of Ukraine, and was the first to break into into the enemy trench.
Having destroyed a number of Hitler's firing points and captured several enemy soldiers, the group, despite repeated fascist counterattacks, kept the occupied line.
Providing the command with valuable information about the enemy, the guard, Lieutenant Antonov F. T., contributed to the successful breakthrough of the enemy defense by units of the 3rd Guards Rifle Division.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 1, 1943, for the exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism of the guard shown, Junior Lieutenant Antonov Fyodor Tikhonovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal The Star ”(No. 1284).
After the war, F. T. Antonov continued to serve in the army. Since 1955, Major Antonov F.T. is in stock.
He lived in the city of Lyubertsy, Moscow Region, and before retiring, he worked at an agricultural engineering plant. He died on April 22, 1988.
