Thistle arthropod ( lat.Cīrsium setōsum ) - a herbaceous plant of the Astra family, or Asteraceae . Nowadays, it is considered more often a variety of Cirsium arvense var. integrifolium , less often - an independent species.

Root perennial rooted perennial.
Distributed throughout Eurasia , as an alien plant found in North America . The species is widespread in forest and steppe zones, especially in the southern taiga and forest-steppe.
It grows on rich, neutral and slightly saline soils along the banks of rivers, in elder forests, in meadows and in the steppes. In anthropogenic landscapes, the bristle-tree is found in crops, on fallows , meadows, pastures, and in garbage places.
It is one of the most important malicious weeds in the territory of the former USSR [2] . It clogs all crops, although it is more abundant in winter crops and perennial grasses. Prefers wet meadows.
