History
The group was created by Snack group members Mher Manukyan and Gor Mkhitaryan . They were joined by two members from another local group ALQ - [1] and David Grigoryan, and with this line-up the band began recording material, and a year later, the first Arajin LAV Album album (First Good Album) was released in limited edition on audiotapes. The album consisted of the 21st song - 11 in Armenian and 10 in English. In 1999, the band released a second album, Essays , this time with the help of influential Armenian rock producer Artem Ayvazian, who gave the album a rotation, and the songs were aired on the popular radio station Radio Burg in Yerevan. Due to this, the group became known throughout Armenia. Also, the group began to appear on television. The songs "Djampordakan" and "Gta qez yerkenqum" became hits. Despite the fact that so far they have not had widespread commercial success, their popularity has grown with the help of live performances, television appearances and the overall impact of the media. In December 1999, due to creative disagreements, Mher Manukyan left the band, and Gore began his solo career. The group remained inactive until December 2001, when, at the initiative of Gore Mkhitaryan, the group met again and within 14 months they prepared material for a new album. A year later, the group was ready to start recording the album, but because of the increased prices on independent labels after the digital revolution, they did not have the means to release a CD and the project was postponed indefinitely. For two years, Gor Mkhitaryan and Vahe Terteryan lived in Los Angeles, Mher Manukyan worked in Yerevan, and David Grigoryan played in various groups of Yerevan and Vanadzor. Finally, in 2006, an Armenian-language album, called Notes from Vanadzor: Urban Armenian Rock, was recorded. [2] He became the band's first commercially successful album. After 2008, the group was inactive, but the collapse of the team was not announced. In June 2012, the group after the four-year break reiterated its performances: in July, there were 4 open-air concerts of Vanadzor , [3] during which the group announced the imminent release of a new album.
