Title History
The original name of the 3rd Perevedenskaya street or the 3rd line of the Perevedensky settlement arose in 1732 from the Perevedensky settlement located here. On August 20, 1739, it was given the name Middle Meshchanskaya Street , due to the fact that citizens of philistine origin settled this part of the city. In parallel, the names existed 2nd Meshchanskaya Street , Central Kazanskaya Street . On May 15, 1882, it was renamed Meshchanskaya Street , the “middle one” disappeared due to the renaming of Bolshaya Meshchanskaya Street to Kazanskaya , and Malaya Meshchanskaya Street to Kaznacheyskaya [1] .
Civil street received its modern name in October 1918 , as a sign of the abolition by the Soviet government of pre-revolutionary estate division [1] .
History
The street appeared in the first half of the XVIII century , as one of the streets of the Perevedensky settlement [1] .
