Biography
Karl Hansen Ostenfell was born on August 3, 1873 in the city of Runners in Denmark . He studied at the University of Copenhagen with Professor Eugenius Warming . In 1900, Ostenfell became the curator of the Botanical Museum, then became a professor at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural College. In 1923, C.H. Ostenfell became a professor at the University of Copenhagen and director of the Copenhagen Botanical Garden . Karl Ostenfell was a member of the Danish Royal Academy of Sciences .
Ostenfell is known for his scientific work on the flora of Denmark and Western Australia .
