History

The debut album of the band Onka's Big Monka , released in 2000, took the fifth place in the British chart, today it has a circulation of about one and a half million copies. However, the subsequent album of the Magic Hotel 2002 did not attract such attention. The single “Time of My Life” from this record ranked 18th in the UK [1] .

In 2003, they announced the breakup of the group. A message about this, signed by team members, appeared on the official Toploader website on March 24. Earlier, the group was forced to leave its label Sony S2 due to the low level of sales of the new album, and all this time was without a contract. “We decided to end Toploader,” wrote vocalist Joseph Washbourne, guitarist Dan Hipgrave, bassist Matt Knight, drummer Rob Green and guitarist Julian Dean in their address to fans. - We want to thank you so much for your support. You are the best fans, and we will miss you very much. Always yours, Toploader. ”

However, in May 2009, the band announced a reunion and a new album, which was due to be released in 2010. The third studio album, Only Human, was released in June 2011. In May 2017, the band presented their fourth studio album, Seeing Stars .
