Callophrys dumetorum (lat.) - a species of Lepidoptera insects from the family of Lycaenidae . Distributed in coastal California , less commonly within the state [1] [2] . They live on hilly shores and on coastal dunes, less often in areas where thorny shrubs grow. Caterpillars feed on the body of Eriogonum latifolium and Lotus scoparius and some others. Butterflies feed on nectar [1] . Wingspan 25–32 mm [1] .
