Tachometric water meters are designed to measure the amount of water flowing in the supply or return piping systems of hot and (or) cold water supply at a pressure of not more than 1.6 MPa .

Types of tachometric water meters
By type of mechanism
Winged
The principle of operation of this type of water meter is to measure the number of revolutions of the impeller rotating under the influence of a stream of water. The flow enters the measuring chamber of the meter body through the inlet, inside which the impeller rotates with magnets mounted on it in a sealed case. Water, passing the zone of rotation of the impeller (measuring chamber), enters the outlet. The number of revolutions of the impeller is proportional to the volume of flowing water. The rotation of the impeller is transmitted by a magnetic clutch installed in the counting mechanism. A counting mechanism with a mechanical gearbox is capable of translating the data on the number of impeller revolutions into information on the volume of flowing water. The counting mechanism is sealed and separated from the measured water by a non-magnetic sealing ring. Used mainly in domestic conditions.
Turbine
The principle of operation of turbine water meters consists in measuring the number of revolutions of the turbine, made in the form of a multi-screw and rotating under the influence of the measured water. Turbine meters also let in more water. Used mainly in production.
Accuracy class
- A - horizontal meter installation
- B - vertical meter installation
Temperature Measurement Range
- Hot (Universal) - measuring range of water from +5 to +90 ° С.
- Cold - the range of water measurement is +5 to +50 (+30) ° С.
