Born in Belgium.

Club career

He began his professional career in the Germinal Beershot team, which performed in the Belgian championship . The first match was played at age 16. In the two years spent at the Germinal, he played only 20 matches and scored one goal. In 2005, he was interested in the Ajax Amsterdam, but Dembele moved to Tilleburg in Willem II , where he spent one season 2005/06, in which he scored 9 goals. In 2006 he moved to AZ , then the team was headed by Louis Van Gal . AZ in the 2006/07 season became the bronze medalist of the championship, lost to the Ajax in the finals of the Netherlands Cup , lost to the same Ajax in the playoffs for reaching the Champions League (2: 4). Dembele scored 6 goals that season. In the 2007/08 season, AZ took 11th place, Dembele scored four goals. In the 2008/09 season, Dembele did not play from October to December due to an injury, but at the end of the season he was recognized as the best player of Eredivisia [3] .

On August 12, 2010 he moved to Fulham , signed a contract until 2013, the club paid £ 5 million for it. He got 30 numbers. He scored his first goal in a match against the Port Vale club in the League Cup . In the summer of 2012 he moved to the London Tottenham Hotspur , where he received 19 numbers. In the season 2018/2019 he played 10 matches in the Premier League and 2 in the Champions League.

In January 2019, he moved from Tottenham to the Chinese club Guangzhou Fuli .
