Vladimir Viktorovich von Aderkas ( German: Emanuel Woldemar Ottokar Alexander von Aderkas ) (1845–1898, St. Petersburg ) - major general, participant in the Khiva campaign and the Russian-Turkish war of 1877–78, holder of orders: St. Vladimir 4 tbsp. with swords and bow and 3 tbsp. with swords, St. Anne 2 tbsp. with swords and with the Imperial crown, St. Stanislav 2 tbsp. with swords, a golden saber with the inscription "For Courage". Biography

Vladimir Viktorovich was born in St. Petersburg in the family of court adviser Viktor Vladimirovich von Aderkas. In 1864 he graduated from the Nikolaev Cavalry School and was released to His Majesty's Life Guards Regiment of Cuirassier , where in 1867 he was promoted to lieutenant. In June of the same year, Aderkas was appointed adjutant to the commander of the troops of the Turkestan military district, General K.P. Kaufman, with the enlistment as captain of the army cavalry. In the spring of 1868, Vladimir Viktorovich was entrusted with the honor of leading the detachment, the first to cross the Zerafshan River. Then he participated in battles against the Bukhara people at Samarkand and on the Zirabulak heights. He was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir 4 degrees with swords and bow. In 1870 he was promoted to majors and commanded the hundreds in the expedition of General A. Abramov . In 1871, he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 2nd degree with swords for distinction in the battle on the Kulikolan Heights, and the next year for the diligent service - the Order of St. Stanislav of the 2nd degree with the Imperial Crown.

In 1873, under the command of Kaufman, he participated in the Khiva campaign. Aderkas was awarded a gold saber with the inscription "For Courage" for repelling an attack on vehicles of a superior detachment of Turkmens. In 1875–76 he participated in an expedition against Kokand as an assistant to the head of the cavalry. For the battle at Zulfagar 08/23/1875 promoted to colonel, and after the battle at the fortress, Mahram on the Syr Darya was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree with swords.

During the Russian-Turkish war of 1877–78, at the head of the 2nd cavalry regiment of the Astrakhan Cossack army, he fought in the Caucasian theater of operations. As part of the detachment of General P. N. Shatilov, he was in the battle of Avliar-Aladzhar and during the night assault on the Kars fortress on November 5-6, 1877. In 1881 he was appointed commander of the 31st Riga Dragoon Regiment . In 1889 he was promoted to major general with the appointment of the commander of the 1st brigade of the 4th cavalry division.

Due to a serious illness, he was forced to resign in 1893. He died in St. Petersburg and was buried in the Volkovsky Lutheran cemetery .
