Content

History

The village was founded in 1852 . The first settlers were freed peasants of Count Orlov-Denisov, Little Russians . The name of the count settlement at first was also known as Denisovka . In 1860, there were 55 courtyards in the village, there were 145 male and 126 female souls. The settlement belonged to the Otradinsky volost of Tsaritsyn district of the Saratov province . Located on the border with Maloderbetovsky ulus of the Astrakhan province , was considered the southernmost settlement of the Saratov province [2]

Residents engaged in arable farming, cattle breeding , melon growing and chumachestvom. In 1894, there were 126 families in the village, 364 male and 354 female souls lived. In 1898 there was 1 parish school, 2 oil mills, 7 windmill mills, a blacksmith shop, 3 small and 1 wine shop in the village [2] .

Since 1935, Ivanovka has been part of Krasnoarmeysky District (since 1960 - Svetloyarsky District) of the Stalingrad Region (since 1936 - of the Stalingrad Region) [3] , since 1961 - the Volgograd Region [4] ). In 1954, the Ivanovo Village Council was renamed Kirovsky, the village center named after Kirov became the center of the village council [4] .

Geography

Ivanovka is located in the steppe zone in the extreme south of the Volga Upland , belonging to the East European Plain , with a beam that is the right tributary of the Chervlyonaya River [5] , at an altitude of about 90 meters above sea level. The terrain is hilly-flat. In the beam at which the village is located, there are ponds. 2 km to the south and south-west of the village passes the Volga-Don Canal . The western border of the village is the Kanalnaya - Maxim Gorky railway line [5] . The soils are chestnut solonets and solonchak and salt licks (automorphic) [6] .

Geographical position

By road, the distance to the center of Volgograd is 52 km, to the district center of the village Svetly Yar - 44 km, to the administrative center of the rural settlement of the village Kirov - 19 km [7] .

Climate

The climate is temperate continental with hot summer and little snow, sometimes with large cold, in winter (according to the Köppen climate classification - Dfa ). The air temperature has a pronounced annual variation. The average annual temperature is positive and is +8.3 ° C, the average January temperature is –7.3 ° C, and July is +24.2 ° C. The estimated multi-year rainfall is 380 mm, the most precipitation falls in December (39 mm) and June (38 mm), the smallest in March (24 mm) [8] .
