Andreyevka ( Ukrainian Andrivka ) - a village in the Chernihiv district of the Chernihiv region of Ukraine , the center of the village council. Located on the banks of the river Balyn (a tributary of the Desna ), 27 km from the district center and 17 km from the railway station Zidinichi, branches of Zhukotka - the Goncharovsky section of the Chernigov – Yolcha section of the South-Western Railway [2] . The population is 879 people [3] .

History
A burial mound and a settlement from the period of Kievan Rus (9th — 13th centuries) were discovered near the village of Andreevka [2] .
Andreyevka was founded in the middle of the XV century. In the village there was the St. Michael's Church (in 1740-1741, priest Ivan Fedorovich Pavlovsky). Since 1861, as part of the Slabinsky parish of Chernigov district [4] .
Soviet power was established in January 1918. On the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, 556 inhabitants fought against the Nazi invaders, of which 278 were awarded orders and medals, 242 died. On the mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of Andreevka from the Nazi occupiers, a monument was erected. In this mass grave are buried the Hero of the Soviet Union , a Russian, sergeant P.K. Murakhtov - the commander of the intelligence section of the 894th rifle regiment of the 211st Chernigov rifle division. There is also a monument to "fellow villagers who died in battles against the Nazi invaders" [2] .
