Career

In 1995, Harry Kewell received an offer to transfer to the English Leeds United . At that time, Leeds was one of the leaders of the Premier League . At first, Harry played for the youth team, in which he won the Youth Cup of England. Starting in the 1997/98 season , Harry has invariably joined Leeds United. At that time, Leeds coach was George Graham , an experienced mentor, but the best he was able to do was take a place in the standings, allowing him to play in the UEFA Cup . Graham was replaced by the legendary defender of the national team of Ireland and the London Arsenal , David O'Leary . Young Mark Widuc , Rio Ferdinand , Robbie Keane , Alan Smith , Lee Boyer and Paul Robinson shone in the team. In Leeds United, following the example of Manchester United , a cash infusion began.

Kewell played one of the leading roles in the club. His game was a delight for Elland Road spectators, and for his game in both Leeds and Australia, Harry was called Oceania's best player. But Harry, like many talented players, was a victim of injuries that might not have allowed him to reveal his full talent. In his career with Leeds, you can only stretch three full-fledged seasons with a stretch, when Harry went onto the field more than 30 times, all other seasons Kewell was forced to heal injuries.

The situation was no better in the club, despite the fact that Leeds United was a member of the Champions League , the team did not show results in the championship. O'Leary was replaced by Peter Reed, an equally famous defender of the England national team and Everton club. Under him, both Harry and the club were doing poorly. After Leeds United began a catastrophe in the 2002/03 season , Harry Kewell moved to Liverpool .

But even in “Liverpool” Harry’s career did not work out, the fault of which is again an injury. Only Kewell spent his first season fully, all the rest had to heal injuries. In the 2006/07 season, the Australian played two incomplete matches for the season and scored a goal. At the end of the 2007/08 season, Harry decided to move to Istanbul .

On August 19, 2011, Kewell joined the Melbourne Victory club, signing a contract for three years [1] .
