Biography

He was born in 1947 in Stira in the southern part of Euboea island in Greece .

In 1974 he graduated from the theological faculty of the University of Athens . Also, for three years he studied at the faculty of law of the same university.

On January 1, 1969, he was ordained a deacon , and on January 1, 1970, he was ordained a priest . He served as a parish priest in the Carist Metropolis, and since 1974 - also as a protosingel of the diocese.

In 1989, he was transferred to the Novosmirn Metropolis, where he was appointed rector of the Alexander Church in the Paleon Faliron in South Athens . episcopal bishop and secretary of the diocese. Also for 18 years, he continuously taught the Law of God in schools.

In September 2000, he received canonical leave from the Novosmirn Metropolis and transferred to the clergy of the Australian Archbishopric of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Since October 1 of that year, he served as rector of the St. John’s Church in Carleton , near Melbourne ( Australia ).

On December 5, 2000 he was elected, and on February 25, 2001, in Perth, he was ordained bishop of Doriley, vicar of the Australian Archbishopric .

He was appointed to feed the Vth district of the archbishopric - that is, Western Australia , with a center in Perth, where he arrived on March 2 of that year.

On June 26, 2002, he was also entrusted with the 3rd district of the archbishopric - South Australia and Northern Territory , with its center in Adelaide, while maintaining custody of the Vth district.
