Biography
Born August 31, 1977 in a family of employees.
A high school student and after graduating from high school in 1993 bore the obedience of an altar boy at the Holy Kazan Church of the city of Bogoroditsk .
In 1997 he entered pastoral courses at the Tula Diocesan Administration.
On December 9, 1997, with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Tula and Belevsky Serapion (Fadeev), Archimandrite Kirill (Nakonechny) was tonsured a monk with the name of Seraphim in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov .
December 10, 1997, Metropolitan of Tula and Belevsky Serapion (Fadeev) was ordained hierodeacon with the appointment to the state of Holy Kazan Church of the city of Bogoroditsk .
On April 5, 1998, in the Assumption Cathedral of the city of Bogoroditsk, Vicar of the Tula Diocese, Bishop Kirill (Nakonechny) of Bogoroditsky, was ordained in hieromonk to the Holy Kazan Church of the city of Bogoroditsk.
On June 24, 1998, he was appointed a teacher of the Holy History of the New Testament at pastoral courses at the Tula Diocesan Administration.
In 1999 he graduated from pastoral courses at the Tula Diocesan Administration.
From February 10, 2000 to February 12, 2002, and from January 4, 2003, he was rector of St. Nicholas Church in the village of Karachevo, Dubensky District, Tula Region .
On November 15, 2001, he was simultaneously appointed rector of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the village of Dubna, Tula Region. According to Archpriest Leo Makhno: “From scratch he began the construction of the Peter and Paul Church in Dubna, in fact, he himself supervised the construction work” [1]
In 2004 he graduated from the Kaluga Theological Seminary .
Since 2005 - lecturer at the Department of Theology of Tula State University .
In 2007 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Theological Academy .
December 1, 2007 was elevated to the rank of abbot .
March 17, 2011 by resolution of the Diocesan Assembly included in the diocesan board of trustees [2] .
On July 27, 2011, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was elected bishop of Kamensky and Alapaevsky [3] .
On August 19, 2011, in the Cathedral Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Patriarch Kirill was elevated to the rank of archimandrite [4] .
On August 27, 2011, in the Throne Hall of the Patriarchal chambers of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill led the rank of designation of Archimandrite Serafim (Kuzminov) as Bishop of Kamensky and Alapaevsky [5] .
On September 3, 2011, in the Irkutsk Znamensky Monastery, Patriarch Kirill performed the ordination of Archimandrite Seraphim to the Bishop of Kamensky and Alapaevsky. The service was attended by: the managing director of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan of Saransk and Mordovia Barsanuphius (Sudakov) , the archbishop of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsky Anthony (Cheremisov) , the archbishop of Irkutsk and Angarsk, Vadim (Lazebny) , the archbishop of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky Kirill Ikurbatsky (Naboronchek Naburpursky) , Pologrudov) , bishop of Chita and Krasnokamensk Eustace (Evdokimov) , Bishop of Ulan-Ude and Buryatia Savvaty (Antonov) , head of the Moscow Patriarchate administrative secretariat and Bishop Solnechnogorskiy Sergy (Chashin) , and Bishop Balti Falesti Markell (Miheesku) ; Bishop of Yenisei and Norilsk Nicodemus (Chibisov) , Bishop of Yakutsk and Lensky Roman (Lukin) , Bishop of Nakhodka and Preobrazhensky Nikolai (Dutka) [6] .
From December 12 to 23, 2011 he attended two-week continuing education courses for the newly elected bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church at the Church Graduate School and Doctoral School named after Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius [7] .
December 27, 2011 by the decision of the Holy Synod appointed bishop of Belevsky and Aleksinsky [8] .
