Amur plate on the map
The Amur Plate is a continental tectonic plate in the territory of Manchuria , the Korean Peninsula , western Japan , eastern Mongolia and the Primorsky Territory . [1] Has an area of 0.13066 steradian . It is sometimes considered as part of the Eurasian plate , sometimes as a separate microplate moving southeast of it. [2]
It borders on the Eurasian Plate in the north and in the west, the Okhotsk Plate in the northeast and the Philippine Plate in the south. The Baikal rift zone is the border between the Amur Plate and the Eurasian Plate.
