Content
Physical-geographical characteristic
The village is located at the southern borders of Cheboksary, near the Volga M7 motorway. The area of 30 hectares [2] .

In New Lapsar, the highest population growth was observed in the Cheboksary agglomeration : in 1990–2000, the population increased by 1,300 people. The share of the working-age population is 71.3%, the share of the elderly is 14.5%.
The 2010 census recorded minor changes in the ethnic composition of the population compared to 1989: the share of the Chuvash people declined - 73.2% (in 1989 - 78.2%), the share of Russians increased - 23.1% (in 1989 - 19.1% ), Tatars - 0.9% (in 1989 - 0.8%) [2] .
History
Established in 1970 .
In submission to the city of Cheboksary passed the order number 406-p of April 20, 1983 .
The active development of the village with well-planned apartment buildings of 3-5 floors was carried out in the 1980s [2] .
The very first house built in the village - house number 12.
Infrastructure
The village-forming enterprise is a poultry farm. On the territory of New Lapsar located trading and purchasing enterprises and warehouses, there are woodworking production, as well as transport enterprises.
In the village there are: an elementary school-kindergarten, a secondary school (No. 42), a kindergarten (No. 123), a bathhouse, a swimming pool, an art school, a children's and youth sports school named after the Olympic champion A.I. Tikhonov , Acacia House of Culture, general practitioner's office, palliative care unit of the Central City Hospital, 2 cafes, shops, library [2] .
Three streets: State Farm, Meadow and Suburban.
Religion
Lapsarians are parishioners of the temple of the Icon of the Mother of God "Skoroproslushnitsa" (Sovkhoznaya str., 16, building 1) [6] .
Transportation
Between the city of Cheboksary and the village of New Lapsary organized bus service (route number 46; until December 1, 2018 - route number 10) [7] .
