Yakov Efimovich Vikhman ( Yakov-Israel Jerukhimovich Vikhman , 1896 - 1976 ) - Soviet diesel engine designer, one of the leaders in the design team for the creation and production of diesel engines for Soviet tanks.

Biography
Born in 1896 in Bobruisk (now Mogilev region , Belarus ) in a Jewish family. He entered the Kharkov Institute of Technology in 1916 , but in connection with the revolution, the Civil War and the devastation, he was able to finish it only in 1924 . After graduation, he worked at KhPZ as a designer, senior designer, head of the design department of the diesel department of the plant, and since 1931 - head of the design bureau for diesel engines. Since 1939 - Deputy Chief Designer of Plant No. 75 , since 1941 - Deputy Chief Designer of SKB-75 of the Kirov Plant in Chelyabinsk . He taught at the Chelyabinsk Engineering College . He died in 1976 in Chelyabinsk .
