The battle between 20,000 French under the command of Prince Conde the Great and Viscount de Turenne and 15,000 Bavarians under the command of Count von Mercy . On August 3, Tyurenn, after a long retreat, attacked the Bavarians on the flank, while Conde hit them in the front at 17:00. When it got dark, the Bavarians were allowed to retreat and at night Mercy moved to a new position.
Here he was attacked on August 5, but he held the position all day. The French lost twice as many people as the enemy. Three days later, Mercy considered it necessary to retreat, and on August 9 during the retreat he was attacked by cavalry. He managed to repel the attack, but Conde arrived in time to save the cavalry from defeat and threw the Bavarians away, capturing all their artillery and convoys.
