Italy Women's Volleyball Cup

Italian Volleyball Cup for Women is the annual competition for women's volleyball teams in Italy . It has been held since 1979 . It is the second most important national volleyball tournament after the national championship .

Competition Formula

In the Italian Cup, teams of the A1 series take part, taking the first to the eighth places in the first round of the Italian championship.

8 teams in the quarter-finals are divided into pairs according to the places taken during the first round of the championship (1st plays from the 8th, 2nd from the 7th and so on). Teams in pairs spend on one match. The owner of the field is determined by drawing lots. The winners of the quarter-finals will enter the final tournament, which is held in one city in the format of the final four (semi-finals and final).

In the final of the last draw (February 3, 2019), Igor Gorgondzola ( Novara ) defeated the Imoko Volley ( Conegliano ) 3: 2 team.
