Pavel Petrovich Saksonov ( August 29, 1911 - December 9, 1993 ) - Soviet professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR ( RAMS ).

Honorary member of a number of foreign scientific societies, one of the largest Soviet radiation pharmacologists , one of the founders in 1960 and the first director of the department of radiobiological research of the Research Institute of Aviation and Space Medicine (Moscow), author and co-author of a number of scientific papers and articles that were important milestones in the development of Russian space medicine and space flight safety. Also known as the author of studies on the history of the discovery and use of various medications. In particular, in the work “On the history of the discovery and study of adrenaline ” he proved Russian priority ( Tsibulsky , 1891 ), despite the prevailing opinion that priority belongs to Japan ( Takamine , 1900 ).
During World War II, Pavel Petrovich, together with his wife Galina, were military surgeons in besieged Leningrad.
Saksonov P.P. was buried in Moscow at the Mitinsky cemetery.
