Title History
Since the middle of the 18th century , the name of the street has been known as the 1st Company . In parallel, there were the names Izmailovskaya Street (including the modern Troitsky Prospekt ), 1st Izmailovskaya Street , 1st Company of the Izmailovsky Regiment [1] .
The modern name 1st Krasnoarmeyskaya Street was assigned on October 6, 1923 in honor of the Red Army with the aim of approving Soviet terminology and in contrast to the previous name [1] .
History
The street appeared in the middle of the XVIII century , as a street for the location of the 1st company of the Izmailovsky Life Guards Regiment .
"... ordered to build shelters instead of barracks on the Guards ... with all haste in the current 1740 ... Izmailovsky was appointed ... to build behind Fontanka , behind the philistine houses, conceived to build from the very prospect that lies on Sarsky Selo (now Moskovsky Prospekt ) on the right side down that river ” [1]
