Lakes Lakar and Nontue, although they belong to the same basin, are not included in the Seven Lakes , as they are located in Argentina.

Practically all the lakes are located in the territory of the commune of Panguipulli . The area is surrounded by the volcanoes of Villarrica , Ketrupillian , Mocho-Cosuenko and Lanin . Due to geothermal activity, there are several hot springs in the area, including Likinje .

In the area developed tourism.
