Biography
Arlene Carol Dahl ( born Arlene Carol Dahl ) was born in Minneapolis to a Norwegian family. She has been fond of theater since childhood. attended orator courses and dance lessons. After graduation, she joined a local drama troupe, and also worked as a model for some time. Her film debut took place in 1947 in the musical film “My Wild Irish Rose”, and over the next few years Dahl achieved her first success on the big screen. Among the most famous films with her participation are such films as “The Reign of Terror” (1949), “Behind Enemy Lines” (1950), “Three Little Words” (1950), “ Scarlet Tint ” (1956), “Fortune is a Woman” (1957) and Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959).
In 1954, after a divorce from actor Lex Barker , Arlene Dahl married Argentinian actor Fernando Lamas, from whom in 1958 gave birth to a son Lorenzo Lamas , as did the parents of the actor. With the birth of her son, Dahl began to withdraw less, devoting herself to the family. Later she worked as a journalist, a writer, and also founded her own line of underwear and cosmetics. After her divorce from Lamas in 1960, the actress was married four more times. The last time she appeared on the big screen in 1991 was in the movie “Warrior's Night” with her son Lorenzo Lamas. Her contribution to the American film industry is marked by a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
