The Vilyui tract is a postal road that existed in the 19th and 20th centuries , connecting the capital of the Yakutsk Territory with other settlements (settlements and camps), the final destination of which was the city of Vilyuisk . A lively post and horse-drawn service was carried along the Vilyui tract, goods moved (mainly deer and dog teams, and later horse carts) were used. It is also the name of the modern road that is widespread among the population of Yakutia - the Yakut section of the Vilyuy federal highway .

History
In 1936, the first test rally was held to determine the possibility of building and / or using the tract for the movement of cars (at least in winter). Since then, automobile winter roads began to operate on the tract.
After the Great Patriotic War , the Soviet state had plans to create an asphalt road (since there are oil fields, deposits of minerals, etc.). Some areas of hard surface appeared on the highway back in the Soviet Union , but were washed out or destroyed by time and lack of repair.
Today
in 2005 year -round automobile traffic was opened along almost the entire length of the tract , but now the road is again impassable and looks like a swamp in some places in summer. And, of course - not enough bridges . The existing Vilyuy road construction plan is now being implemented [ when? ] .
In 2007, the road was transferred to federal administration and established by the Federal State Institution “Uprdor“ Vilyuy ””. [one]
