History
The name of the area in translation means "in front of the station"; here at the beginning of the 20th century one of the stations of the CER was built.
The administrative division of Yingkou has changed many times. After the city was taken by communist troops during the civil war at the end of 1948, the old administrative division was canceled and the city was divided into “public security zones”. In 1950, the city was again divided into areas that received not names, but serial numbers. In 1956, the districts with numbers from 1 to 4 were liquidated, and instead of them 9 street committees were formed; instead of district No. 5, the Prigorodny district was formed. In 1957, the Zhanqian, Xinhua and Xishi districts were formed, to which 9 street committees created a year earlier began to obey.
Administrative Division
Zhanqian District is divided into 7 street committees .
