Riga Reservoir ( Latvian: Rīgas ūdenskrātuve ) is a reservoir in the central part of Latvia on the Daugava River (Western Dvina) , formed in 1974 in connection with the construction of the Riga Hydroelectric Power Station . It is also used for water supply in Riga .
