Pokrov (less often Pokrovo, Pokrovskoye ) is a former village in the Karachevsky district of the Bryansk region . It was located 19 km south-west of the city of Karachev .

History
Mentioned from the XVII century as part of the Undercity camp of the Karachevsky district as a village , the possession of the Karachevsky Resurrection Monastery . It was named after the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin that existed here (the last building of the church was erected in 1818 - 1839 , has not been preserved).
Until 1929, the village of Pokrov was part of the Karachevsky district (since 1861 - as part of the Ruzhensky volost , since 1924 in the Karachevsky volost ). In 1872 a zemstvo school was opened.
Since 1929 in the Karachevsky district; until the 1930s It was the center of the Pokrovsky village council, then in Ruzhensky, since 1960 in the Rivne village council. Since 1964 it has been included in the village of Luzhetskaya .
