Buryatnemonyx gratshevi

Buryatnemonyx gratshevi (lat.) Is an extinct species of color beetles from the Nemonychidae family. The species was named after the entomologist and paleontologist V. G. Grachev . Discovered in the fossil Cretaceous deposits of Buryatia ( Zakamensky district , 10 km S-Tsakir, Khasurtyi River; Lower Mel - Neokom ). The black body is dorso-ventrally flattened, 4.1 mm long. The head is large, wider than its length. Rostrum is long, 12 times longer than its width and 2.4 times longer than the pronotum. The new species and genus are assigned to the subfamily Distenorrhininae (whose typical genus † Distenorrhinus Arnoldi, 1977 previously belonged to the subfamily Brenthorrhininae ) [1] .
