Ford flex

Ford Flex is a full-size crossover manufactured by Ford Motor . Its design is based on the design of the Ford Fairlane presented at the 2005 New York International Auto Show . The production car was presented at the 2007 New York International Auto Show. Flex began to be sold in the summer of 2008 as a 2009 model. Flex is produced on the same assembly line as the Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers at the Oakville assembly plant in Oakville, Ontario , from where the first Flex came out in early June 2008. It replaced the Ford Freestar minivan , so it became the first Ford crossover, combining the properties of a minivan and an SUV. Flex is only sold in the United States , Canada, and the Middle East .

Interior

The 2009 Ford Flex has seven seats, including adjustable and removable footrests for passengers in the back seat. The second and third row seats fold to the floor. The car has a characteristic for crossovers optional internal "mini-refrigerator" in the middle rack between the seats of the second row. A voice-driven communications and entertainment system, called Ford Sync , developed jointly with Microsoft , combines the functions of a cell phone, SIRIUS satellite radio , CD player , DVD player and other media and navigation system. The interior is illuminated by a seven-color programmable mood light, as well as the Vista Roof multi-panel, similar to the panel in Ford Edge , as a ceiling light. The navigation system is located on the hard drive for storing music and images.
