History
Created by Giorgio Strehler and Paolo Grassi in 1947. It opened with the play “ At the Bottom ” by M. Gorky on May 14, 1947. In the same year, the second production was released, which for many years became the hallmark of the theater - “The Servant of Two Masters ” by K. Goldoni. The artistic and ideological director of the theater was J. Strehler. In 1968-1972, he worked with another troupe, but returned to the theater.
