Career
Lucas signed his first professional contract with Karlsruhe in 2009. Then he was connected to training with the second team, for which he debuted on May 13, 2009 in the away match of the 30th round of the South Regional League against Waldhof , which ended in a major defeat with a score of 0: 3. Lucas came out from the first minutes and spent the whole match on the field [2] .
In the 2009/10 season, he was already the main player of the second team and soon began to be called up for the first. On March 21, 2010, Lucas took to the field wearing a Karlsruhe T-shirt for the away match of round 27 against Roth Weiss from Oberhausen . The match ended in defeat with a score of 0: 1, Lucas entered the field in the 81st minute, replacing Godfrid Aduobe [3] .
Lucas spent the 2010/11 season as the main player of Karlsruhe, and his role in the team was very high. He took part in 24 matches and scored three goals, which helped the team maintain a residence permit in the Second Bundesliga , which took 15th place.
In the summer of 2011, Lucas, together with his teammate Matthias Zimmermann, moved to the Mönchengladbach Borussia [4] . On August 7, 2011, Lucas made his debut in the Bundesliga in the away match of the first round against Bayern Munich, which ended in an unexpected victory with a score 1: 0 thanks to a goal by Igor De Camargo . Lucas entered the field in the 90th minute, replacing Marco Royce [5] .
On May 16, 2014, Rupp moved to Paderborn 07 [6] .
On June 24, 2015, Rupp signed a three-year contract with Stuttgart [7]
