Criticism and Criticism
The release of Hidden Faces marked the departure of Clan of Xymox from the “dark dance music” and the return of the band to gothic rock and darkwave [2] . Jason Hallinger, a reviewer for the magazine Propaganda Magazine , called the album "really excellent" and able to return the attention of old fans to the group, and found certain songs from it inspired by the work of the Dead Can Dance [3] .
The disc was praised by the famous horror writer Kathleen Kiernan , who in her review in Carpe Noctrem noted that Clan of Xymox “explores new territory” in music, while remaining recognizable, and the lyrics are quite good and are a kind of “heart of the album " [4] .
